Many people, including law students, do not feel confident about their financial wellbeing. Moreover, many students do not know whom to turn to for sound financial advice. In response, the Black Law Students Association of Georgetown University Law Center proudly pioneers a financial literacy event for law students that highlights the importance of financial health and provides law students access to well-respected financial advisors, specialists, and coaches.
The event will be broken into two parts: the first will be a panel where several financial specialists will speak to students about important personal finance topics such as student debt, retirement savings and big financial milestones like starting a business or starting a family.
The second part will be a breakout session where students will meet with a mix of financial advisors, coaches, and specialist in small intimate groups. Here, students will learn about different strategies and financial instruments available to help them achieve their goals.
This event is open to all law and aspiring law students. Food will be served.
